“13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in rage and anger gave orders to bring Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego; then these men were brought before the king. 14 Nebuchadnezzar responded and said to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up? 15 Now if you are ready, at the moment you hear the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery and bagpipe and all kinds of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, very well. But if you do not worship, you will immediately be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire; and what god is there who can deliver you out of my hands?”
16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter. 17 if it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 18 But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” (DANIEL 3:13-18, NASB)
What is the circumstance before you? Every circumstance you face today regardless of it’s immensity is an opportunity, an opportunity for you to either cave in or to triumph. Here is an example of this new generation which The Lord our God is raising up. Torn from their homes while still young, yet their faith never lacked, their resolve to serve their God and King was absolute, unshakable, and unmovable. Such is the generation of those who will be strong and do exploits in God’s army. (Daniel 11:32)
Our God has proven, proves, and will prove Himself strong on behalf of those who fear Him. You have an option today friends, to either follow the multitude on the wide path which leads to destruction, or to follow on the narrow path which leads to life; you choose today whom you will serve. (Matthew 7:13-14) Your service and worship cannot and should never be dependent on the circumstances. Circumstances test your faith, that which you declare, they come to prove that you will not be shaken regardless of how much the wind blows, because you are planted on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 7:24-26)
So I say to you today, speak to your circumstance; be bold, be brave, because Your God is waiting for your declaration of faith, you have power to create life, in your tongue, to change atmospheres, so release the word of faith now, release that word, declare what you want, and be ready to believe that even if it does not occur as you expect, your God is still Faithful and True. Don’t let that circumstance change the way you see your God, rather let it be an opportunity to hold unto God even stronger. In my life I have declared and will continue to make the same declaration as my friends in the scripture above: “O king we do not need to give an answer in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O King. But even if HE does not, LET IT BE KNOWN to you, o king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”
Make that same declaration today! Our God is faithful to do what He says, but LET IT BE KNOWN, that even if HE does not, we will not cave into the circumstances before us. It’s an opportunity for you to shine friends.
Grace, grace, abundant grace flows from His throne for you. You are loved in the Beloved.
