Relentless Worship

The Bible gives us glimpses of things that occur and have been occurring around the throne of God for eternity. God has made some special beings and while they serve specific purposes, every single thing: plant, animal, being (human/ angel), sea, were all created for one purpose, to worship and bring glory to the King of Kings and Lord of lords: Jesus.

The Bible tells us that the Living Creatures engage in eternal worship around the throne of God crying out: “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME.” (REVELATION 4:8)

We have all been created for one purpose and that is to worship and bring glory to God. We can learn from these Living Creatures because they have been worshipping for eternity and their many eyes are locked on the King to behold His beauty and to declare His Holiness. The more they are in His Presence, the more they decrease and the more He increases. How else could they be crying out for eternity Holy, Holy, Holy…? They have become consumed by His Holiness and now they have become worship. They do not worship, but they are worship. Learn from these beings before the throne. They may have started out worshipping like we all do, but we progress until we realize that everything we do, our every act should be an act of worship to declare the glory and Holiness of our God and King. It’s called abiding in His Presence. If you are in Christ, then Holy Spirit lives on the inside of you and you are one with God. Not equal in rank, but one as in He lives in you and you carry His name, like a trusted messenger / ambassador. Holy Spirit who is God’s Spirit inside of you is the Lead, and you are to follow His direction. He can lead you to a lifestyle of worship just like these Living Creatures.

One thing I can tell you is that your acts of obedience to God are acts of worship. Obedience releases blessings (see Deuteronomy 28: 1-14), and worship releases the Presence of God. Disobedience is as the sin of witchcraft and it brings destruction.

If you abide in His Presence, by allowing Holy Spirit free access to your willing heart, God will take you on the best adventure of your life. You will forget about yourself and become like them  (the Living Creatures) before the throne. They are consumed by His Presence, by His Holiness and are worship because He is in them.

The more you come to God, the less you (your flesh) becomes, the less the power of seduction has over you, seduction to follow the ways of the world. You get one step closer to looking like Him and talking like Him, until finally you no longer live, but Christ lives in you, and you are consumed by passion and zeal for His Presence.

Ultimately the more you abide in Him, the more you become like Him and have forgotten about yourself because you are alive in Him just like these wonderful creation of God, the Living Creatures.

Scriptures: taken from the NASB

Colossians 1:15-17:“15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and  for Him.17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

Hebrews 12:2: “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

John 15:4–11: “4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.9 Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.11 These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.”

1 Samuel 15: 22-23: “22 Samuel said,

“Has the Lord as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.
23 “For rebellion is as the sin of divination,
And insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He has also rejected you from being king.”

John 3:30: “He must increase, but I must decrease.”

Romans 8:14: “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”

Psalm 69:9: “For zeal for Your house has consumed me,

And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.”

Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and thelife which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

Psalm 27:4: “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.” (AMP)
